COSTA CÁLIDA: THREE THOUSAND HOURS OF SUNSHINE PER YEAR
It is an award that we do little boast about in our beloved Costa Cálida. Some of its locations, such as Portman, turn out to be the most privileged, because they combine 3,000 hours of sunshine, along with sea and charm. In fact, we are one of the autonomous communities with the highest number of hours of sunshine on average per year, according to Murcia Turística. At the top of the list are, of course, the Canary Islands with a whopping 4,800 hours a year.
But let's go back to our peninsular southeast and its extraordinary Mediterranean beaches.
Today, in Portman, it has been one of those few days in January when you go out on the street and you have to recognize that it is colder than usual. But it is not a matter of complaining, it only happens to us a few days a year. And when that happens, we greatly appreciate enjoying a few rays of sunshine.
